Dual-VST architecture for line audio and MIDI on the Aerophone.

The wind instrument market is larger than pianos, yet only a tiny fraction of wind players have gone electronic. A wind instrument is historically monophonic and solitary.

Roland built the hardware standard with the Aerophone. THIRI supplies the missing half: real-time, voice-led harmony that moves with your breath.

DUAL-VST ARCHITECTURE

Two plugins, one breath

Melody dictates harmonic resolution. Breath dynamics continuously modulate accompaniment density and voice leading. Compatible with standard Roland MIDI controller modes.

Note choice = harmonic intent. Continuous breath CC = dynamic voicing density and velocity. The theory engine resolves the changes under the line, deterministically.

VST 2LINE AUDIO

Line audio from the Aerophone. Acoustic envelope follower and parallel timbre processing sit beside the harmonic bed — not instead of it.

The Cortex-A7 processor budget

We are actively pushing the STM32MP157 dual Cortex-A7 to its limits. This page publishes the constraint, not a polished SKU.

Full-rig load: 1.18–1.29 ms of a 1.333 ms deadline

Baseline 5-voice harmony uses 0.592 ms of the 1.333 ms budget. Adding the second VST, mic tracking, and delays pushes the load to 1.18–1.29 ms. Active profiling is balancing thread distribution between Core 0 and Core 1.
